A family of nine was displaced after a two-alarm fire in Dracut on Wednesday, February 15th. Nathan Bowler, a well-experienced and dedicated Lowell Police Detective was made aware that his family home was destroyed. Nathan shares his home with his wife, Anne seven children, and numerous family pets. According to a press release from the Dracut Fire Department, Engine 3 was the first company to arrive at the scene, where they encountered the heavy smoke showing from the Cape-style home. A second alarm was struck to bring in additional manpower. The release states Engine 3 quickly stretched a hose line into the home’s basement and attacked the blaze from inside, knocking down the fire, which took about 1,000 gallons of water to extinguish the flames.
Nathan and his wife Anne have enjoyed many years in their home in Dracut. From raising their children, spending time in their church community, enjoying family and friends, planning camping trips and time to go hiking, and watching their children grow. Nathan and his wife both share a respect for the community and helping others. Anne, a nurse for many years, and Nathan a police officer. When they’re not working to assist those in need locally, Nathan and his family travel to Haiti and the Dominican Republic to assist those who are less fortunate. As members of the Emmanuel Church in Chelmsford, their beliefs in the world help others in many ways, spiritually, and emotionally and brings on a loving and caring environment. Though the Bowler family has experienced great tragedy it has not stopped them from sticking together as a family and getting through what has been brought to them. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire but they have lost most if not all of their belongings; clothes, toys, household items as well as their family home. The family is currently living in a hotel.
The Greg Hill Foundation will be matching all donations up to $5,000.
