On Wednesday, April 24th the Blasko Family tragically lost both of their parents in an apparent murder-suicide.

The Blasko’s siblings are a family of five with three boys, two of which are in high school who go by Max and Mike and the oldest brother is Mitch. There are also two girls in the family one of which is currently in College named Rachel plus older sister Kelsey.

The Blasko’s are in need of support and on Friday, April 26, we are holding an on air fundraiser during the Hill Man Morning Show on WAAF. Please consider to donate and help the Blasko Family in their time of need.

The Stull Family

On Monday, March 18th the Stull Family of Norwell, MA endured a shocking and terrible loss. Bob Stull, 45, suffered a heart attack and sadly passed. Bob was a great husband to wife Kerri, wonderful father to 4 kids – Kyle, Reanne, Lindsey and Jacob, and an awesome friend to so many. Bob will be missed immensely by those who knew him.

 

Bob was an active volunteer in his kids activities, he volunteered as a coach for both youth baseball and football and would step in to assist with the girls softball league whenever needed. He actively participated in helping coordinating block parties in their neighborhood and took care of their elderly neighbor next door, ensuring her safety, cutting the lawn, shoveling etc… He was active in the Norwell Mens softball league and was always willing to help a neighbor work on anything that they may have needed.

 

On Thursday, March 28th we will held an on-air fundraiser on the WAAF Hill-Man Morning Show for the Stull Family. Thank you for support. With your help we were able to make a donation of $5,295 to the Stull Family.

On Wednesday, January 30th Chris Dixon (37 years old) from Reading, MA  passed away unexpectedly in the night. Chris was an amazing brother, husband and father who leaves behind his loving wife, son (9 years old) and beautiful triplet girls (6 years old). Chris worked two jobs and was the sole provider financially for his family.

On Wednesday, February 6th we held an on-air fundraiser for the Dixon Family. Thanks to the amazing outpouring of support we were able to donate $18,624 to the Dixon Family.

We are extremely saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend Kevan Joyce. Kevan has been a tremendous supporter of our foundation since inception, volunteering at our Christmas Toy Giveaways, donating to beneficiaries and supporting the foundation events through the years. Kevan has also been involved with so many other foundations and has made a positive impact on the lives of many. Kevan will surely be missed.

Kevan is survived by his amazing wife Kathy and their kids Kate and Kristen. We held an on air fundraiser for the Joyce Family and due to your support we were able to donate $31,281 to the Joyce Family.

Family of Fallen Worcester Firefighter Christopher Roy

On the morning of Sunday, December 9th Worcester Firefighter, Christopher Roy died while battling a raging, five-alarm blaze that broke out in a Worcester apartment building.

Crews responding to a reported fire in a multi-family home on Lowell Street around 4 a.m. found dense black smoke pouring from the windows and flames shooting out of the second and third floor.

36-year-old Christopher Roy, became trapped on the second floor was later pronounced dead, according to Fire Chief Michael Lavoie. “December has proven to be the cruelest month of the year for the Worcester Fire Department,” Mayor Joseph Petty said.

Roy has been with the Worcester Fire Department for two and a half years where he worked out of the Webster Square station. He leaves behind an 8-year-old daughter.

On Monday, December 10th held an on air fundraiser for Firefighter Christopher Roy’s family and the residents who were displaced by the fire. A total donation of $101,977 was donated to the Roy Family. Thank you to everyone who donated.

On Friday, September 14th we held an on air fundraiser on the Hill-Man Morning Show for the families affected by the gas leaks and explosions on September 13th in the Lawrence area. Unfortunately many families were displaced due to these explosions and fires and several houses were completely destroyed. With your support we were able to raise and donate $27,050 for the families in need.

Families Affected by the Webster Tornado

On Saturday August 4th the National Weather Service meteorologists reported that a twister with estimated wind speeds between 100 and 110 tracked from Dudley into Webster between 9:55 a.m. and 10 a.m. The tornado was rated a “high-end EF-1.”

Webster Fire Chief Brian Hickey said he’s never seen anything like this. One person sustained a minor injury and four buildings suffered major damage. That person was inside a car that was under debris from damage caused by the tornado on Main Street.

Officials say over 40 people from three buildings were displaced. The American Red Cross is providing hotel vouchers to shelter residents.

We held an on air fundraiser for the Families affected by the tornado and in total we were able to make a donation of $4,640.

The Quinn Family

On Saturday, July 28th Kevin Quinn was tragically killed a little after midnight in Cotuit ,Ma in a motor vehicle crash as he was returning home from visiting his wife Kara (Sullivan) and their newborn baby daughter at the Cape Cod Hospital.

As he was driving home he was hit head-on by a vehicle driven by a person who was being pursued by police and crossed the center line into Kevin’s SUV.

Kevin is a combat veteran with two deployments to Afghanistan, returning home to marry the love of his life Kara Sullivan of Yarmouth.

We held an on air fundraiser for the Quinn Family and pledged to match all donations up to $5,000. With your support we were able to make a total donation of $11,590 to the Quinn Family.

The Family of Fallen Police Officer Michael Chesna

On Sunday Morning, July 15th, Officer Michael Chesna of the Weymouth Police Department was shot and killed in the line of duty after responding to an incident behind South Shore Hospital. Officer Chesna, a graduate of Northeastern University, was just about to celebrate his six year anniversary on the force on Monday the 16th. Officer Chesna is a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served several tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He leaves behind his loving wife and his beautiful daughter and son, ages nine and four.

We held an on-air fundraiser for the Chesna Family during the WAAF Hill-Man Morning Show on Monday, July 16th and pledged to match all donations made up to $5,000. In total we were able to donate $203,007 to the Chesna Family.
