The Cashman Family
On Tuesday, December 22nd, just a few days before Christmas, a fire broke out at a home in Scarborough, Maine. Firefighters from Scarborough, Saco, Biddeford, Hollis, Gorham, Buxton, Westbrook, and Portland responded, but the fire swept through the two-story home causing extensive damage. The fire has left Kevin Cashman, a Lieutenant in the Portland Police Department, his wife, and three daughters, ages 19, 18, and 14, living in a hotel this holiday season. In addition to the loss of their home, most of their possessions were destroyed and they are currently trying to secure long-term rental housing.
We held a fundraiser for the Cashman Family and matched donations up to $2,500. Including our match, we were able to donate $40,689 to the Cashman Family. Thank you to everyone who donated and allowed us to help the Cashman Family in their time of need.
