Elise White

Elise White

Elise White (14 yrs old at the time of award) noticed large groups of homeless gathering in downtown Manchester.  Instead of being intimidated and turning from the issue, she wanted to help.

Elise started volunteering through her campus ministry program at Trinity Highschool, serving dinner at the Families In Transition Emergency Shelter.  Elise spends a few hours each week serving food, in addition to clean up and prep for the next day.  After volunteering a few times with friends and classmates, she realized she wanted to do more on her own.   Elise continues to serve each week and was instrumental in getting several members of her family to become volunteers.  Elise promotes the importance of giving back and getting involved.

Chick-fil-A and The Greg Hill Foundation awarded Elise White a Chick-fil-A brand package including Chick-fil-A for one year (52 times) and $2,000 in Chick-fil-A dining credit for Families in Transition to use to support their efforts to feed the community.
