Bethany Connolly

Bethany Connolly is the Vice President of Hudson Youth Softball, a participating board member of Hudson Youth baseball and softball, and currently coaches both the Demolition 10U softball team and the Hudson Red Recreation team.

There are zero days off for Bethany, she is constantly on the lookout for ways to improve the programs. She has done this for the past 5 years unpaid alongside her full-time job as a social worker and as a wife and mother of two.

Bethany uses her free time to attend countless board meetings to ensure the youth of Hudson can not only participate in softball but have a memorable experience doing so. She discovered an away tournament for the travel teams that affords the kids the ability to play in Myrtle Beach each summer at a state-of-the-art complex against kids from all over the US. She used fundraising to ensure the financial impact would be as minimal as possible. Since Bethany has taken over in her role the outlook on Hudson Youth Softball has completely changed, numbers of participants have shot up and you can’t drive around Hudson without seeing kids wearing softball gear.

On Wednesday, August 30th, Chick-fil-A and The Greg Hill Foundation awarded Bethany a Chick-fil-A brand package including free Chick-fil-A for one year, $200 to Nail Essence, and $1,500 towards her cause, Hudson Youth Softball to help with their summer tournament.
